Why the Poorest Ghetto Residents Can't Qualify to Learn Transcendental Meditation

Lawson English explains why the TM Movement does not have teaching centers in U.S. urban ghettos. The poorest residents of ghettos are drunks, drug addicts, or mentally ill, Lawson says. America's "untouchables" are incapable qualifying to learn TM
--or so the bigot thinks.

Here is Andrew Skolnick's reply to Lawson's post:

Why you small-minded racist, bigot. In your view (and
perhaps the Maharishi's?), the residents of America's
ghettos are all mentally ill, drug addicted, alcoholics
who couldn't possibly qualify to learn TM. They're even
incapable of not taking a drink for a day.

You hypocritical, little disingenuous fool: the only thing
that the urban poor lack to qualify for TM membership is
money to feed Maharishi's money grubbing machine. He
doesn't care about helping the needy. He cares only about
helping himself. The pickings are too few for him in
America's ghettos.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

But you're more likely to be proud of yourself: I'm adding
this post to the Junkyard Dog Web site. Congratulations.
You're about to have a second Web page there.

P.S. Lawson's explanation for why the TM movement writes off people who live in the ghetto should not be a surprise when you consider the man he follows belongs to one of the most bigoted cultures on earth. The Maharishi's culture considers millions of people in the lowest class of his society to be "untouchables."
